The Brazos Valley Poultry Club will be hosting a Lawn Show at the quarterly meeting, May 12, 2012.  It will be held at Dan Dykes place under a beautiful canopy of trees.  If you are already a club member, you'll get an email with all the details, and if you are not a club member, you are invited to attend and participate!!

The main attraction will be the Lawn Show.  The Lawn Show is a great way to learn what to expect and how to get started exhibiting poultry.  We'd like you to "enter" a few birds so we can have them critiqued and answer some questions.  We'll have an APA/ABA judge on hand, and it will be handled like a real show, so be sure to bring your P/T papers!  But its not a sanctioned show, so you can relax and enjoy the learning.

The show will be limited to 100 birds, and there will be some simple awards for the voted winners.  This is a great way to learn step one of exhibition poultry and have easy access to an APA/ABA judge to answer all of your questions, and some of the top breeders in the region.  Bring your chickens, and bring a friend and their chickens, and bring some potluck to share!  We hope you'll come and enjoy the great time over a Lawn Show full of beautiful chickens!!
